# Icon

One of 38 Lucide stroke drawings as SVG; decoration beside words, never in place of them.

Icon is an enum of named drawings, each one SVG path in a 24 by 24 box, stroked at width 2 with round caps and joins. They are Lucide's drawings under the ISC licence, the same on the Mac and on the web, and the web face draws them inline at 16 px in the colour of the text around them, the native face at the size and tint it is given. Icons are decoration; the words beside them, or the control's label, carry the meaning.

## Accessibility

- The svg is aria-hidden="true" and focusable="false", so assistive technology skips it.
- The icon is decorative, so put the meaning in words; an icon-only button still needs a label, which becomes its accessible name.
- The stroke takes the current text colour, so it keeps the contrast of the words beside it.
